Confessions of a Proud Father
Thomas is a normal 12 year old, or so I would like to believe. He loves sports and playing outdoors at our Northern Ontario home. He cross-country skis, bikes, hunts and fishes as well as enjoying indoor sports at school.
Having enjoyed carefully monitored use of his pellet gun for several years, along with shot gunning with a 20 Gauge for hunting, January 2008 found it time to move up to the next level of shooting, organized target shooting. As such, I took Thomas to target shooting at our local club, while at the same time re-introducing it to myself after a 12 years absence from the sport.

The young competitors, hunters and recreational shooters are our future. Encouraging their participation is tantamount to our survival. We need to develop a method of identifying who's going for Gold - what resources they need to succeed - and a method of providing those resources to them.
